My Boots Still Hit the Ground (Alt 11)

“World’s gone sideways, storms rollin’ in… but my boots still hit this damn ground again.”

End of days in high-res screens, Storms dragged into your living room. Every headline chants disaster, Every sunrise hints at doom. But out here on this broken dirt, Life’s simpler than they claim— Good men fight to feed their children, Bad men hide behind their name.

And every year feels heavier, Like the sky keeps leaning down… But I keep walking anyway— I won’t surrender this old ground.

’Cause my boots still hit this ground, When the whole damn world falls down. Wars take brothers, lies take towns, Prices rise like smoke unbound. But long as fire fills my chest, And thunder doesn’t drown me out— My boots still hit this ground. My boots still hit this ground.

Powerlines hum like warnings now, Factories silent, streets turned gray. Some die for borders drawn by kings, Some bleed for flags they never chose to raise. Leaders perched on borrowed thrones Talk as if they’ve never sinned— While eggs cost more than mercy does, And hope feels taxed like medicine.

And every dream feels fragile now, One hard wind could knock it down… But still I walk, ‘cause I belong To every mile of this old ground.

Yeah, my boots still hit this ground, When the whole damn world falls down. When prophets shout and screens cry loud, And truth gets lost inside the crowd. But long as breath stays in my lungs, And fate won’t drag my spirit down— My boots still hit this ground. My boots still hit this ground.

Brother turning against brother ’cause someone said their “country needs.” Mothers burying their children, Whispered prayers like scattered seeds. Presidents who play at kings Wearing crowns of rust and greed… But me, I’ll keep on walking forward— I still choose the life I lead.

’Cause my boots still hit this ground, Even when the sky falls down. World may break, but I won’t drown— I rise each time I hear that sound. And if the end comes crawling for me, It’ll have to chase me through this town— ’Cause my boots still hit this ground. Yeah, my boots still hit this ground.

“So if the end comes looking for me… it’ll find me on my feet.”
