My Boots Still Hit the Ground (Alt 17)

“They say the world’s gone sideways… but my boots still hit the ground.”

End of days in high-res screens, Storms dragged into your living room. Every headline screams disaster, Every sunrise talks of doom. But out here on this broken dirt, Life’s simpler than they claim— Good men fight to feed their children, Bad men hide behind their name.

And every year feels heavier, Like the sky is leaning down… But I keep walking anyway— I ain’t giving up this ground.

’Cause my boots still hit this ground, When the whole damn world falls down. Wars take brothers, lies take towns, Prices climb like smoke unbound. But long as breath is in my chest, And thunder doesn’t drown me out— My boots still hit this ground. My boots still hit this ground.

Powerlines hum like warnings, Factories closed, towns gone quiet. Some die for borders carved by kings, Some bleed for flags they never chose to fight. Leaders sitting on their thrones Talk like they ain’t ever sinned… While eggs cost more than mercy does, And hope is priced like medicine.

And every dream feels fragile now, Like it’s one storm from being blown— But I keep walking anyway… This dirt still knows me as its own.

Yeah, my boots still hit this ground, When the whole damn world falls down. When prophets shout and screens cry loud, When truth is lost in every crowd. But long as fire lights my path, And fate don’t drag my body down— My boots still hit this ground. My boots still hit this ground.

Brother fighting brother ’cause someone told ’em “country needs.” Mothers bury sons in silence, Prayin’ God still hears their pleas. Presidents that think they’re kings, Crowns made out of rusted greed… But as for me, I’ll keep on walking, I still choose the life I lead.

’Cause my boots still hit this ground, Even when the sky comes down. World may break, but I won’t drown— I rise each time I hear that sound. And if the end is truly comin’, It’ll have to chase me through this town— ’Cause my boots still hit this ground. Yeah, my boots still hit this ground.

“So if the end comes looking for me… it’ll find me on my feet.”
